Lynda's paintings aim to capture a “sense of place” through the light, colour and shapes of the world around her.
Attending York University, in Toronto, Canada, Lynda studied photography, filmmaking and art history and upon graduation, worked as a Film Librarian at the AudioVisual Centre, University of Toronto. In 1984, she moved to La Serena, Chile where she focused on drawing and watercolour painting. In 1992, she moved to Tucson, Arizona and became an active member of the Tucson Watercolour Society. Upon her return to Canada in 1994, she illustrated seashore creatures with pen and ink and in 1998, wrote and published “Vancouver Island Shores: Seashore Exploring for the Novice.”
Since 2010, she has been working fulltime on painting and is an active member in the Federation of Canadian Artists and a member of PleinAir Nanaimo, Ladysmith Arts Council and Nanaimo Arts Council.
